Japan’s business activity expands for seventh consecutive month.

According to the Au Jibun Bank Japan manufacturing purchasing managers index (PMI), Japan’s business activity expanded for the seventh consecutive month.

The country’s composite purchasing managers index was 52.1 in July, unchanged compared to the previous month.

Values above 50 indicate expansion in the sector, while values below 50 indicate contraction.

Services PMI fell slightly to 53.9 from 54 in June, while manufacturing activity remained in contraction territory and PMI fell to 49.4 from 49.8.
