23 agreements signed between UAE and Japan

It was announced that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Japan signed 23 agreements and memorandums of understanding covering the public and private sectors. It was stated that the memorandum of understanding and agreements cover the fields of renewable energy, health, technology, environment, transportation, infrastructure and industry.

According to the news in the official agency of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), WAM, UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, who is visiting his country.

During the meeting held at the Homeland Palace in the capital Abu Dhabi, bilateral cooperation and regional issues were discussed.

Exchanged views on regional and international issues, Bin Zayed and Kishida emphasized the importance of resolving crises through diplomatic and dialogue means for regional and international stability and peacekeeping.

After the meeting, 23 agreements and memorandums of understanding were signed between the two countries in line with their efforts to increase joint trade and investments.

The trade volume is 14.7 billion dollars.
It was stated that the memorandum of understanding and agreements cover the fields of renewable energy, health, technology, environment, transportation, infrastructure and industry.

The bilateral trade volume between the UAE and Japan reached $14.7 billion in 2022. Therefore, Japan is seen as one of the 10 most important trading partners in the world for the UAE.

Japanese Prime Minister Kishida, who went to the UAE after her contacts in Saudi Arabia, is expected to complete her Middle East tour with a visit to Qatar.
Saudi Arabia and Japan signed 26 agreements and protocols on renewable energy, technology and agriculture yesterday.
