Profits of US energy companies fell in the second quarter

The energy giant’s net income per share, which was $4.21 in the second quarter of last year, fell to $1.94 in the second quarter of this year.

The profit of Chevron, one of the largest oil producers of the USA, in the April-June period, decreased by 66 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and fell to 6 billion dollars.

The company reported a profit of $17.9 billion in the same period of 2022.

Chevron’s net income per share, which was $9.17 in the second quarter of last year, also fell to $3.20 in the second quarter of this year.
