S&P Global/Gryaznov: Oil and gas prices could rise towards the end of the year

S&P Global Ratings Director Alex Griaznov said that oil and gas prices may go up towards the end of the year.

Griaznov said that oil and gas prices may go up towards the end of the year and the price of Brent oil may rise to an average of 80 to 90 dollars.

Stating that the markets have overestimated the possibility of a global recession, Griaznov said, “The biggest challenge in the markets is whether we can see the demand from developing countries, we will follow them.” said.

Stating that they see a similar picture to oil in coal, Griaznov said that there may be a shortage in coal supply in some regions and this situation may increase coal prices. On the other hand, Griaznov stated that there may be an increase of 10-20 percent for some metals in the coming period.

In his speech, where he evaluated the energy sector in Turkey, Griaznov said that the biggest challenge for Turkey is geopolitical risks. Stating that Turkey keeps the relations between Russia and Europe in balance, Griaznov said, “I think that Turkey is a good candidate to become a gas hub. There are good opportunities here.” said.
