Sam Altman launches Worldcoin

Sam Altman, founder of OpenAI, developer of the artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT, has launched the cryptocurrency project Worldcoin.

A statement signed by co-founders Alex Blania and Sam Altman was published on Worldcoin’s website.

The statement stated that Worldcoin was founded over three years ago with the aim of creating a new identity and financial network that everyone has.

In the statement, which was reported to be launched today, it was noted that if successful, Worldcoin could greatly increase the economic opportunity and create a reliable solution to separate humans from online artificial intelligence while maintaining privacy.

The statement stated that Worldcoin consists of a privacy-preserving digital identity (World ID) and a digital currency (WLD).

In the statement, it was stated that World App, the first protocol compatible wallet, can be downloaded and shared, and World ID can be obtained after visiting the biometric verification device Orb.

In the statement, it was emphasized that this will allow to prove online that you are a real person, while remaining completely confidential.
