Double-digit growth in phone sales in China

In China, the world’s largest smartphone market, phone sales increased by 22.6 percent in May, showing a sharp rise compared to previous months.

China’s smartphone sales increased by 22.6 percent in May and showed a sharp increase compared to previous months. The latest data was interpreted as a positive sign for the country’s slowing mobile device industry.

Phone makers sold 25.2 million phones last month in preparation for 6.18, China’s second biggest shopping festival, which features discounts running from the end of May to June.

According to the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, these numbers may have helped manufacturers churn out smartphone inventory, marking an increase of more than 4 million times a year compared to the same period of the previous year.

According to official data, the domestic market is stuck in a prolonged recession and fell 2.6 percent from January to May despite the latest growth.

On the other hand, concerns about the country’s economy limited the demand for more hardware in the smartphone industry. Data released by IDC predicts that the biggest hurdle to worldwide shipments this month will come from China. Also, China, the world’s largest smartphone market, is blamed for much of the slowdown in the global industry.
