US technology company Microsoft announced that it will invest $1.7 billion in cloud storage system (Cloud) and artificial intelligence infrastructure in Indonesia.

In the statement made on the company’s website, it was stated that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella met with Indonesian President Joko Widodo in the capital Jakarta and discussed investments in the field of technology.

In the statement, it was reported that an investment of $1.7 billion will be made in Indonesia over the next 4 years to develop a new cloud system and artificial intelligence infrastructure where data will be stored.

It was noted in the statement that the investment will also provide artificial intelligence training to 840 thousand people. “The investments we announced today, such as digital infrastructure, skill acquisition and support for developers, will help Indonesia’s development.” It was said.

In the statement, it was announced that the investment of 1.7 billion dollars will be Microsoft’s largest investment in Indonesia.
