Meta opens its AI model to commercial use

Meta, owner of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, is making the artificial intelligence language model Llama 2 commercially available in collaboration with major cloud providers including Microsoft.

In the statement made by Meta, it was stated that the new version of Llama 2 will be made available free of charge as open source for research and commercial use.

In the statement, it was stated that the partnership with Microsoft as the preferred partner for Llama 2 was taken to the next level, and it was emphasized that the efforts in the field of productive artificial intelligence were expanded.

The statement shared that starting today, Llama 2 will be available in the “Azure AI” model catalog, allowing developers using Microsoft Azure to take advantage of cloud-native tools for content filtering and security features.

Llama 2 is optimized to run natively on Windows, and will provide developers with a seamless workflow while delivering productive AI experiences to customers across different platforms.

The statement announced that Llama 2 will also be available through Amazon Web Services (AWS), Hugging Face, and other providers.
