In the statement made by Daimler AG Group, which includes the Mercedes brand and its headquarters in Stuttgart, it was stated that Mercedes Benz’s automobile and light commercial vehicle deliveries increased by 6 percent in the April-June period of the year compared to the same period of the previous year, to 515 thousand 700.

Vehicle deliveries in China, the company’s largest market, also increased by 12 percent in the second quarter to 183,600. In Germany, deliveries rose 23% to 58,600 and in the USA, 6 percent to 88,100.

Electric vehicles continued to be the driving force in sales in the second quarter. Electric car sales increased by 123 percent to 56 thousand 300 units.

On the other hand, in the first six months of the year, sales increased by 5 percent compared to the same period last year, to approximately 1.02 million vehicles.
