4 billion euro investment plan from Microsoft in France
It has been reported that the US technology company Microsoft plans to invest 4 billion euros in France, mostly in the field of artificial intelligence.
In his statement, Microsoft President Brad Smith stated that the majority of the 4 billion euro investment planned by the company to expand its presence in France will be made in the field of artificial intelligence, and that a data center will also be established in the country.
US-based Amazon also announced that it will invest 1.2 billion euros in France and create more than 3 thousand jobs in the country. Amazon has invested more than 20 billion euros in France since 2010.
Pharmaceutical companies Pfizer and AstraZeneca were among the largest investors announcing investments in France, with a total of approximately 1 billion euros.
In the statement made by the French Presidency, it was announced that international companies will invest 15 billion euros in the country within the scope of the “Choose France” business event that will start today. At last year’s summit, this figure was 13 billion euros.
The presidents of leading US banks JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Bank of America are also attending the event, which aims to reinforce Paris’s reputation as a European economic centre.
France invites business leaders from around the world to the annual event to attract more foreign investment to the country.
