$125 billion bond issuance from the US Treasury Department

The US Treasury Department announced that it will sell $125 billion worth of bonds with 3, 10 and 30-year maturities.

In the statement made by the US Treasury Department, it was reported that 3 bond auctions will be held next week.

In the statement, it was stated that bonds amounting to 58 billion dollars with a 3-year maturity will be issued on May 7, bonds with a 10-year maturity amounting to 42 billion dollars on May 8 and bonds with a 30-year maturity amounting to $25 billion on May 9.

In the statement, it was stated that a total of 125 billion dollars of government bonds would be sold, and that the issuance would create approximately 17.2 billion dollars of new cash.
In the statement, it was stated that the size of the bond issuance has been significantly increased since August 2023, and that the need for a further increase is not foreseen, at least in the next few quarters.
