Boeing predicts 787 production growth will slow down

US aircraft manufacturer Boeing expects 787 production rates and deliveries to slow down.

Aircraft manufacturers are generally grappling with parts and labor shortages due to supply chain disruptions that are causing delays in deliveries to airlines.

According to Reuters, the company executive said in a statement to employees that Boeing expects a slower increase in the production rate and delivery of its 787 wide-body jet.

Boeing plans to steadily increase its tariff to meet “strong demand,” Reuters reported from 787 Vice President and General Manager Scott Stocker.

In the statement, it was stated that we continue to eliminate supplier deficiencies in several important parts, and for this purpose, a slower increase in our production and delivery speed is expected.

Boeing announced that the 787 production rate in the last quarter of 2023 is five per month.

Separate production of Boeing’s 737 MAX single-aisle jet in Washington state had fallen sharply as US regulators stepped up factory controls and slowed the assembly line outside Seattle.
