Net profit of 737 billion rubles from Sberbank in the first half of the year

In a written statement from Sberbank, it was stated that the bank made a net profit of 380 billion rubles in the second quarter of the year.

In the statement, which was informed that the net profit of the bank reached 737 billion rubles in the first half of the year, it was emphasized that the amount of loans provided by the bank in the second quarter exceeded 6.6 trillion, reaching a record level.

Sberbank President German Gref, whose views are included in the statement, said, “The loan portfolio grew by 7 percent on a quarterly basis, approaching 35 trillion rubles. Customer funds are also growing rapidly with 9.2 percent in three months. Sberbank has strengthened its position in all major banking markets.

Sberbank’s net profit fell by 75 percent compared to the previous year, to 300 billion rubles, due to the effect of sanctions last year.
