Microsoft and Alphabet’s revenues rise

Revenues of US technology companies Microsoft and Google’s parent company Alphabet increased in the April-June period. Microsoft’s revenue increased 8 percent and Alphabet’s revenue increased 7 percent.

Accepting the April-June period as the fourth quarter in its financial calendar, Microsoft announced its balance sheet.

Accordingly, the company’s revenue increased by 8 percent in the April-June period compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching $56.2 billion. Microsoft had revenue of $51.9 billion in the same period of 2022.

The company’s net profit also increased by 20 percent in the same period to $20.1 billion. The firm’s net profit was $16.7 billion in the same period last year.

Alphabet’s second-quarter revenue rose 7 percent
Google’s parent company Alphabet also announced its balance sheet for the second quarter of 2023.

Accordingly, Alphabet’s revenue in the second quarter of the year increased by 7 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching $ 74.6 billion. The company had revenue of $69.7 billion in the second quarter of 2022.

The company’s net profit, on the other hand, increased by 15 percent in the second quarter compared to the same period last year, reaching $18.4 billion. Alphabet had a net profit of $16 billion in the second quarter of last year.

The company’s earnings per share, which was $1.20 in the April-June period of last year, increased to $1.44 in the same period of this year.
