Auto sales in the UK increased in June

It was reported that the number of cars registered to traffic in the UK increased by 25.8 percent in June.

In the statement, it was reported that in the first half of this year, the number of registered cars in the country increased by 18.4% to a total of 949 thousand 720.

In the SMMT statement, it was stated that the number of cars registered to traffic in the country increased for 11 months as of June, so that the British automotive industry managed to gradually overcome the supply shortage during the epidemic period.
In the statement, it was recorded that the best selling car in June was the “Tesla Y” with 5 thousand 539 units.
Commenting on the statement, SMMT Chief Executive (CEO) Mike Hawes said, “The used car market is growing again and becoming more environmentally friendly. Because the attraction of electric cars can be seen by more drivers. However, we need to act even faster to reach our climate goals.”
